Helping another friend with their pc.

They have wireless internet, it was working OK on their laptop but not on desktop pc.

I managed to get the internet working on the desktop pc last week but my friend has been away since and when they tried to get online this morning they couldn't.

The internet is showing as connected with a good signal but when they click on Internet Explorer they get the message "windows is not managing the internet".

Haven't got much more information at present as can't get to their pc today but any ideas for when I try and sort it out tomorrow?

Thanks

Hello secretangel,

Have you installed any software or made any changes to the system?
How does the system in question connect to the router? by wire or wireless?
Regards,

Alan.

No I haven't made any changes to the system since getting the internet working on the PC.

It connects by wireless.

What version of internet explorer are you using? Have you tried a different browser?
Regards,

Alan.
