Yesterday somehow I contracted that antivirus xp 2008 yesterday. I was able to delete the program I think but my background has switched to this and whenever I change it, it changes back within 10 minutes after I get off the computer. Also I randomly get the blue screen of death with error messages such as bad pool header or other things. Sometimes I have to restart while other times it restarts itself How can I resolve this problem and get this virus, spyware, or whatever off my computer?

Did I delete it?

I am running malwarebyte's anti-malware. Is this safe? Will it be able to delete this entire problem for me?

I am really computer illerterate so I appreciate any help.
Thanks.

After completing Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware scan, post the log by clicking the Logs tab and then copy and paste the contents in your next reply so that the Anti-Malware Gurus can have a look and advice you.

How long does the scan normally last? It's been 20 minutes and it has found 74 infected items.

How long it runs will probably depend on the size of your hard disk and the number of files being scanned. Just give it some time... couple of hours maybe.

If the scan is hanging, shut it down and try rescanning again. Please run quick scans only.
