Keith,

A lot of the viruses out there will read a the infected persons outlook address book, pick a person at random, and start sending the viruses out under that persons name. Its really annoying and I am sure almost everyone here has had it happen to them.

To be safe though you should run an online virus scan to make sure its not you, but it is probably the above explanation.

Please run two online virus scans:

http://housecall.antivirus.com/
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/

Then let us know if its working better and what the scans found.

I run both of those at least once a day along with Spybot, Ad-Aware, and CWS.
I have no idea if it is going to anyone else or not. And I refuse to open the attachment that is with the email. I had my HJT log looked at earlier in the week and it was clean. Did have the Backdoor.Trojan, but with the help of you, Grinler, we did remove it. Do you think it could be something that could hurt the computer or worse yet, hurt someone else's computer??

Thanks

Keith

No i personally think that it is someone else that is infected that has you in their address book unfortunately.

I get these all the time.

I have noticed an increase in viruses that mask themselves as mailer-deamons; these are socially engineered to encourage people to open the attachments. Do not open them or click on any link in the message. Chances are that someone who has your Email address has become infected.

John
