Hi darepoju :)

Yes, ComboFix expires when a newer version of it is released. You can download the latest version from BleepingComputer. However, you shouldn't use ComboFix if you weren't asked to do it by a trained malware removal professional or if you weren't taught how to use it yourself. ComboFix is a very powerful tool that, when wrongly used, could make your own system unbootable, without any chance to fix it or recover your data. I suggest you to read quietman's FAQ on ComboFix to answer all your questions and even more.

PS: Next time when you have a question, it would be better to start your own thread rather than gravedigging once that is almost 7 years old

It Says it's being used by another process !!

Please clarify...

"It Says"...What is saying that? And what is being used by another process?

quietman, the OP post is from 2008, darepoju (the 2nd poster), gravedigged the thread, hence why it came back to the top :P But I guess that the OP doesn't have the original issue anymore.

This happens from time to time when someone resurrects a topic several years old by reply in someone else's thread.

It's quite annoying too when it happens (talking about the gravedig). Would be good if a Moderator would just tell the person who gravedigged the thread to start a new one and asks his question there instead, then lock this one.

That is one reason why is best if only the staff reply to such topics.
