I have been getting a pop constantly everytime IE7 starts. my computer is running on windows xp media center and fully up-dated..

I think I know where i got this from, my brother downloaded some stuff from hxxp://www.msgplus.net.
I uninstalled the program he downloaded but I still have pop ups...
I have downloaded Hijackthis but i don't know how to use it so i didn't do anything with it.

1. Popup with words CiD in upper left of title bar appears when starting IE.

2. Popup re-appears every few minutes. If I leave the machine and come back there will be many popups on the screen.

3. Adaware shows nothing, nor does superantispyware or my AV software.

please help me get rid of this !

Download and run Spybot - Search & Destroy...it is free and really finds and cleans stuff up well. Also are you running XP SP2 or SP3? It does have built-in IE popup blocker. If you are you should turn it on.

Thanks
