Hello to everyone and thank you for taking your time to read this.

Well around 5 or 6 am today, i recently had a BSOD. This must of been my first one in months...
I did remember the BSOD saying something about my OS and my video drivers. I did write the numbers down.

STOP 0x0000008E (0xC0000047, 0x804FCDD8, 0x8054FEB0, 0x00000000)

SP2
1 gig of ram
geforce 8600 gt graphics card
2.8GHz

If you can...next time write down exactly what was stated about video drivers.

In the interim...if it were me, I would uninstall/reinstall those drivers...not necessarily update them. There might be file corruption, which caused the BSOD...particularly so if said drivers had worked fine for a reasonable period.

As a caveat - if you're overclocking, stop it until you've solved this problem.
And, use only these video drivers (presuming that you're using a 32 bit version of Windows XP) until the problem is solved: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_175.16_whql.html
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
