Sorry if this is not the right place to post this.

Last night my daughter was talking to one of her school friends on msn when he asked her to download and install something on her computer. It turned out to be a messenger plus script that gave him access to my computer.

Luckily I found out because she thought it was fun that he could do things to my pc and wanted to show me (she was on the phone to him and when she told me to say a certain word he would do something to the pc).

I went mad at her (he was still on the phone and heard luckily) and he told her how to delete it but I'm concerned that it hasn't gone completely.

I had deleted the downloaded file, so checked the recyle bin and found out where it had been installed to, checked there and made sure the script had been deleted but is there anything else I should check?

Hello secretangel,

I would run some online scans just to make sure it hasn't left anything behind.

After this if there is any doubt that it is still left I would then follow the instructions here
Regards,

Alan.
