Now please Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm and Run the Program. Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explorer Windows. Check the "I know what I'm doing" Button and remove all traces of inetadpt.dll. Then Reboot.

To see a tutorial on how to use this program click the link below:

Using LSP-Fix to remove unwanted Malware LSPs from your computer

When you are done, do the following:

I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button

Scarlett you did an excellent job. You are all clean!!!

Now that you are clean, please follow this simple step and use the following programs:

Visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly. This will ensure that you have the latest patches for your operating system installed. If there are new updates to install, install all the critical updates, reboot and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.

I would strongly advise you download and install SpywareBlaster and Spybot (With TeaTimer)

Tutorials and download locations for each programs can be found below. They will help to prevent a lot of future reinfections.

Using SpywareBlaster to protect your web browser

Using Spybot - Search & Destroy to remove Spyware from Your Computer

Glad i was able to help.

First of all thank you so very much!!! Secondly, I do install Windows updates regularly. As a matter of fact I receive updates by e-mail. But I also visit the site often. As there updates by e-mail come a little slow sometimes. I use Avast ( which is great. It caught a virus once as soon as it got in. Amazing. ) It is set to update regularly. I use A-aware6.0, and I do have Spybot w/ TeaTimer. I will install SpywareBlaster.

One more thing...I could not scan and save my HijacktThis log as Tutorial showed. This is how I did it.

Scan> save log> Name log> log went to desktop?> double clicked to open> Choice box opens>I choose Notepad> Wordpad opens?> Click edit> Click save all> I copied and pasted to my reply.

Oh my, I just noticed that I am listed as a student. I never would of gotten this far without all of your help and patience. Joing this site is one of the best things Ive ever done. Thank You again!!!!
