Hello my wife has my laptop infected  she clicked on a link and porn popped up and computer restarts. Restarts over and over untill you start it in safe mode. On my kaspersky it has detected
1) heur.invader (modification)
2) virus heur.trojan.generic
3) malware exploit.java.gimsh.b
4) Adware.win32.virtumonde.ar
5) Adware.win32.purityscan.gu
6) Adware.win32.BHO.cw

but it wont let me update and antivirus definitions or anything. And when using the internet everything i type goes to a fake search engine.

What can i do or send a helper to get started on this??

thanks shaun

Try downloading the following 3 tools on a clean computer. Boot the problem computer into Safe Mode, transfer the files over with a CD or pen drive and run them one after the other.

Dr.Web CureIt!

McAfee Avert Stinger
