Install Mac Software On Ubuntu?

Hi I heard that you can install mac software such as Pages or iwork on ubuntu. Is this true and if it is can someone give me a step by step instructions of how to do this

From the quick search and reading i did it does not appear to be
possible unless you are using a PPC.
OpenOffice is a reasonable alternative.
