My grandad has a Sony Vaio computer with a Windows XP Home OS, he is wanting to backup all of his files and settings etc. so that he won't lose anything when he reinstalls Windows XP, our problem is that we can't figure out how to make the backup, I see no programs for the task and other online sources haven't helped. Think yall can help us?

Sometimes Sony will put their recovery stuff in the Help and Support menu. Try launching that and looking for a Sony icon/program in the first screen.
