Any device connected to the USB is not working. My computer is newly formatted cleanly. What can I do to fix this?

By the way, all my drivers but one for a "USB ROOT HUB" is working. This one, however, says:

Reinstall the drivers for this device. (Code 18)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

But when I go to reinstall, it says that there is no better driver out and no driver will be updated.

What can I do? This may very well be the problem.

Please give us the make and model of the computer.
Have you unplugged all USB devices, and deleted the USB Root Hub in Device Manager, then rebooted the computer? Windows should redetect and reload the driver

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

I put together the computer myself. It's a Intel Pentium 4 processor. 3.00 Gigahertz. 1.25 GB RAM

Unplug all devices, delete the USB root Hub and restart and let you know what happens.
