Am currently computing(or whatever it's called) on a 2000 emachine with many issues but it plays freecell and let's me browse so that's enough 4 now(am planning 2 build but more on that n a sec..) Because my girlfriend wants 2 live where we live I am at the mercy of d(ie)al-up. Machine crashed last yr had recovery software & i installed avast & spybot about 9 mos ago. Have had some alerts but no infections. Question...If I am successful in my first attempt 2 build, I will still b @ 56K(unless I upgrade 2 Hughesnet...AWFUL PRICEY!!!) Will avast & spybot b enough or should i xplore other options?? I (& my girlfriend will b the only 2 w/ access so i will know what should b on system & wha :thumbsup: t shouldn't...
when all is said and done, there's nothing left to say or do...

Will avast & spybot b enough

Install spywareblaster too and another anti-spyware program if you wish.
Remeber to update your programs reguarly and be carefull when surfing on the net.

Make sure you have a firewall enabled.
