Hi there. First time user on this forum.
Problem seems to be that if I select an option on an internet screen which requires a second window to open, then that second window is blank, and the cursor goes to egg-timer. That's it - it just hangs.

Prime example is logging onto this forum.
I received my e-mail saying 'click here to activate' and this brought up a second blank window.
I had to copy the full address from the e-mail into the actual address bar to bring up the details.

Any suggestions?

Hello there, joined this forum a few days ago, had the same problem for months, microsoft people told me to restore the drive, so naturally i just let the problem go(too many movies and songs to replace  ) came here and everything working fine. and welcome to you both!

Just right click on this link and past it into your address bar http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/IE_...ems-t14146.html

To the mods here, can you make this link a sticky? that would help a bunch of people.

Supersquaw - what an excellent start to this forum. Ended up being directed to Microsofts resolution. Ran through all the files suggested and the new window now works. Thanks

Microsofts help didn't do a thing for me, I tried everything they suggested until they told me the only thing left was to wipe the drive. I got a different suggestion from here, one that worked. Anyway, congrats.
