Evry time i start up my pc i get a message that goes something like this:

"windows cannot identify the publisher of the file C:/windows/prefetch/win32service.exe do you want to run this file , the digital signiture of this file could not be validated. "

i have never encountered this before and my antivirus does nto recognise it as a threat. People tell me it may be a windows service file and it may be a virus as many are known to show up like this . i think it is a virus but i honestly dont know what to should i leave it as it could be an important computer file or should i get rid of it. i never choose to run it at start up

HELP ME PLEASE my computer is new can someone save it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That particular error message...seems to tie to this: http://review.zdnet.com/4520-6600_16-5078666.html

I find no mention of such file, other than in conjunction with malware. There is nothing on any such valid XP file (that I was able to find), using Google.

Go to jotti's virusscan or virustotal.com. In the "File to upload & scan" box, browse to the location of the suspicious file(s) and submit (upload) it for scanning/analysis.
-- Post back with the results of the file analysis.
