Hi,

I believe I have malware infections on my PC - I have another topic going in the relevant area, meanwhile, as a fall back I'm preparing to reformat and reinstall.

I have 2 internal drives, both 300GB, and 2 External drives

I understand the process to reinstall, and I'm a little paranoid that a standad format instruction may leave residue data, I'd like to be able to wipe and rewipe several times to make sure nothing survives.

Does anyone know of an application or technique I can use here please, or have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

This free program will wipe your drives clean: http://dban.sourceforge.net/
Just follow the instructions there and you'll get rid of everything.

But, for most virus infections it's not necessary to go to these lengths - a simple format will kill most everything.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

A standard format is enough for most virus.
