I have been for weeks dealing with a very slow PC speed thinking it was a low RAM memory trouble, an antivirus inconvenience, etc., etc., until I followed quietman7 advices, specifically "sfc /scannow". Almost as a miracle, things improved radically. The procedure took more than two hours. I have a relatively old very well maintained PC. I wanted to participate as many members of the forum are possible because, at least me, suffers a lot loosing my time in front of the screen instead of enjoying. Regards to everybody.

If I am participating the group that I had very good results executing the Windows Xp Pro scan, why I am going to do anything else appart of the many things I have already done? In any case many thanks and friendly regards. I strongly encourage, for being more clear, just to run that tool when any body might have speed troubles.

I think the perfect solution for you is to simply clean your registry from errors, the registry has alot of leftovers in an unmaintained computer which slows down your pc significantly.

I'm sure that Quietman7 will be glad to hear that his suggestion was effective in helping you resolve your problem.
