Hello,

My computer is slowing than normal and I'm not sure why.

Computer Details:
Windows XP, Service Pack 2
1.73 GHz, 504 MB RAM
Total Size 87GB
Free Space 55GB

My internet takes a while to load pages, change pages, and programs take a really long time to start up. I use Mozilla Firefox.

I have Symantec Antivirus software, Ad-Aware, and Spy-bot. They are all updated and I've run them on safe mode. No problems found. I also ran CCleaner.

I used Spy-bot to disable programs I do not need on startup and defragmented my computer.

I would appreciate any help.
Thanks!
Monica

What kind of Internet connection do you have?

There is a tweak that you can do to Firefox which will help speed up the pages opening.

1. Type "about:config" in the address field.

2. Set the value of network.http.pipelining to "true".

3. Set the value of network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to "100".

4. Set the value of network.http.proxy.pipelining to "true"

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
