hello
my problem is when i insert my disc for descent one i get no type of autoplay function whatsoever
i have to go to my computer find my disc drive , right click on the disc and click on explore

once i get there i see INSTALL.EXE wich i figure installs the game

when i click it a black command promt comes up for a split second and goes away. this happens with any exe file thats on the disc

compatability mode doesnt work and i cant figure out how to use dosbox.

any and all help is greatly appreciated

Is autoplay enabled on your PC?

What other files are there on the disk?

yes auto play is enabled

the files on the disc are



_INST.EXE
INSTALL.EXE
STUBBY.DAT
READNOW.TXT

and there are a bunch of folders

BOOTME
DESCENT
LEVELS
PREVIEWS
TEXT
DEMOS
DLOTW
NEWLEVEL
SFADEMO

Have you read the READNOW.TXT file?
