Gotta a problem. When I click on my photoshop icon, the program goes through the loading screen(rather briskly), but then everything goes back to normal (like it never opened in the first place) Is this a sure sign that I have a malignant virus of some kind?

My computer is also taking a long time to launch the internet. I recently installed AVG, and that's when the imense slowdown started. Now my internet explorer simply comes to "about blank".

Big questions, can anyone help?

Thanks

Hello grafix_man and  to Bleeping Computer.

If all this started when you installed AVG the first thing I would try is to uninstall and then reinstall it.

I tried to uninstall it, but there is an error that prevents this.

Any ideas?

Try to uninstall it in Safe Mode.
