When I use firefox (my prefered browser) or internet explorer the "Microsoft Remote Access Dialler" (rasautou.exe) will start up saying that a program is trying to communicate with xxxx.com. xxxx.com seems to be random websites. Whenever I click cancel, the dialler will pop back up with a different website. The websites I have observed range from service.bfast.com, to antispyware and antivirus sites, to even mundane sites like google.com or yahoo.com. The list of sites it is trying to contact seem to be endless. This problem first appeared when a friend accessed her myspace page using my computer. I was right there when she did it and she didn't do anything weird. I have a cable internet connection, so the remote dialler can't actually call any sites. It's just an anoyance.

I have tried to virus scan using the most thorough settings with AVG, Avast, Avira, and Kaspersky online scanner. AVG, Avast, and Kaspersky did not find any viruses. Avira flagged one virus that I had in quarentine with AVG, and one virus (a js script) that was found in the system information folder which means that it was probably something I deleted a long time ago. I tried spyware scans with Windows defender, ad-aware, spybot, and spyware doctor. The only thing they found were tracking cookies and temp files. I deleted all of these. The problem still persists. I am currently running Avast, windows defender, and COMODO firewall as my realtime protections. This is the first time I have been stumped by a virus or spyware, so hopefully you guys can figure it out. The following is the result of my dss.exe scan.

Thanks,
Patrick

Welcome to the BleepingComputer Forums. Since it has been a few days, please post a new Deckard's System Scanner which includes the HijackThis log. Please see Preparation Guide for use before posting about your potential Malware problem. Thank you for your patience.

If you have already posted this log at another forum or if you decide to seek help at another forum, please let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and taking the time of two volunteer helpers means that someone else may not be helped.
