I have an IBM ThinkPad and I can now only see the top half of the screen unless I move my laptop around (I can see the bottom half briefly when i move it around). This is a really annoying problem and obviously has to be fixed.

What is the process to fix this? Do I contact IBM for a specific part? If so, is it easy to install by myself? Is my laptop finished completely? Is there something that I could do to fix this?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Kind of sounds like a bad backlight. Do you have any small repair shops in your area? Not circuit City or Best Buy

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

If it is less than a year old it should still be under warranty, take it back and let them figure it out.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
