This I am sure is a very simple question but I have to ask. Since I have never shared my computer with anyone else, I have run into a question I'm not sure how to answer.

Working on a friend's computer, I set up AVG 8.0 for him for his virus protection. His daughter uses the computer and has a separate log in and completely different style desktop set up.

Does she also have to have AVG 8.0 installed on her side of the computer or is the computer protected since it is on her father's side?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

I've always heard that there are no stupid questions just lots of ignorant people. If I ask again I am not only ignorant but stupid.

No need to install AVG again for each user. Once it is installed by the administrator or someone with administrator privileges, it should take care of the whole computer no matter which user is logged on. To confirm, ask the daughter to log on with her username and see if AVG loads in the system tray in the bottom right-hand corner of the taskbar.
