I am trying to install a game on my computer and it said I needed the latest DirectX download, and redirected me to this web page -

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en

so I downloaded it and ran the installation. It was working just fine up until the VERY end where it said there was an error and could not be finished. I also downloaded and tried to work the version that didn't require internet access during the installation, but that provided the same error.

Here is the exact message it gave me:

And here are the error logs.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Windows XP, and I'm pretty sure it's DirectX 9.0c.
