My son installed a game called Shaiya on our PC. A program called GameGuard was also automatically installed with the game. After looking into both of these applications it seems that the GameGuard program is problematic for many people and I am now assuming that it is what has made the sudden change in my computers speed (much slower). It also seems that completely removing the program is difficult and involves manually modifying registry items. I am not comfortable doing this and I am posting this topic to get some experienced help. I posted this topic in the malware forum a week ago but have yet to get a reply. Hope that this is a better forum to get some help with this topic.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello mrbrown,

I see you have an open HJT log posted in the HijackThis Logs and Malware Removal forum.
You shouldn't make any changes to your system, while your HJT log is posted, as that could change the results of the posted log, making it difficult to properly clean your system.

At this point, the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Since you posted your HJT Log over five days ago, please post a link to your HJT log in the thread titled "Haven't Had A Reply In Five Days?". Please be patient. Your log will be reviewed and answered as soon as possible.

I'm closing this topic until you are cleared by the HJT Team.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a PM.
Thank you for understanding.

Chaos reigns within.
Reflect, repent, and reboot.
Order shall return.
