I need some help on looking at files.

I have shady people using my pc. and I want to make sure it isnt " the wrong things "

I know there is a way to see what has been done on a pc even after going to tools and deleting files etc.

I just don't know the steps on how to do this..

I have vista o/s on a dell inspiron 1521
