Hi folks, I have been experiencing random reboots of my computer overnight and noticed recently that I lost a logical partition containing over 100gb of photos. The drive just simply disappeared - windows does not see it and neither does the bios. It just shows up as "free space".

Also, sometimes after a reboot I have to reset the quick launch tool bar next to the startmenu - the computer would boot up without the quick launch icons.

These are not errors that I can reproduce. It doesn't happen everyday but occurs randomly.

I've taken the preliminary steps by running superspyware, panda activescan, and have deleted what was found. The problem has not gone away. Please help.

Welcome to the BleepingComputer Forums. Since it has been a few days, please post a new Deckard's System Scanner which includes the HijackThis log. Please see Preparation Guide for use before posting about your potential Malware problem. Thank you for your patience.

If you have already posted this log at another forum or if you decide to seek help at another forum, please let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and taking the time of two volunteer helpers means that someone else may not be helped.
