Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmmlnp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nsvcin] C:\WINDOWS\system32\n20050308.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Nsv] C:\WINDOWS\System32\nsvsvc\nsvsvc.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [picsvr] C:\WINDOWS\System32\picsvr\picsvr.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Digital Line Detect.lnk = ?
O4 - Global Startup: nppc.exe
O12 - Plugin for .spop: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Plugins\NPDocBox.dll
O16 - DPF: {03F998B2-0E00-11D3-A498-00104B6EB52E} (MetaStreamCtl Class) - https://components.viewpoint.com/MTSInstall...vp/content.html
O20 - Winlogon Notify: RunOnce - C:\WINDOWS\system32\l4n40e5qeh.dll

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\WINDOWS\System32\vmmlnp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\n20050308.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nsvsvc\
C:\WINDOWS\System32\picsvr\
C:\WINDOWS\system32\l4n40e5qeh.dll

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

Thanks for the help but I could not wait so I rebuilt my system last night. I have saved your response and I'll apply it if I run into this again sometime somewhere.
