My son is getting this blue screen warning on his HP pc, with WinXP.
I have searched the internet for ways to resolve this, but most of them involve downloading something.
How can I download something, if I can't get past this blue screen?
I also have no idea where the XP CD for his pc is.

Can anyone help, please?

Oh, we do have 3 users on his pc, because it used to be mine. On my profile, all you get is the windows wallpaper. No icons, no start button, nothing (even when you rightclick the desktop - nothing). On my wife's profile, it looks fairly normal, but some other warning comes up, that won't go away, and prevents you from doing anything else.

On my son's profile, you cannot get beyond the blue screen.

Thank you!

I guess you have to download something on CD or the internet.

Well, as I said, I can't download anything from the internet since I can't get past this blue screen.

Dr.Web CureIt!

McAfee Avert Stinger

Download both of these on a good computer. Save them to a pen drive or CD, and then run them on the infected computer in Safe Mode.

PC won't start in Safe Mode. It looks like it is going to, but then just freezes on the same screen with all that technical stuff on it.

Try the scans in Normal Mode then.
