Boot Failure After Power Failure

yesterday we had a power failure. now computer won't completely boot up to start. shows windows logo, then black screen. light still on showing harddrive still on... suggestions

If you can get to the Safe Mode menu, try selecting "Last Known Good Configuration".

To get to the Safe Mode menu, reboot your computer and repeatedly tap the F8 key while it's booting.
