I'm running the Kaspersky scan as instructed to submit a log, and the next step is to run dss. The info says it can only be run in Windows mode, not "safe" mode.

My problem is that the user screen has been taken over by the "Warning!" message and nothing else can be initated on the computer in regular mode. I have to start in safe mode and use the administrator setup and start applications from the task manager.

Any ideas?

Jim

I would post in the HijackThis Forum with the Kaspersky log and a description of the problem you are having with DSS. The HijackThis Helper who picks up your log will be abler to offer advice on where to go from there. Please note that the HijackThis Forum is always very busy and it may take several days before you get a reply.

Thanks, I'll do that. I wanted to be prepared with everything before I asked for their attention.
