I'm having the same problem.

The reason for this is that the malware is rooting into windows processes and the registry so even when you remove the files they are recreated when the PC is rebooted.

I would try the above link and use combofix but also i would submit a HiJackThis log to someone qualified to make sure.

If you don't already have it you can download it here: http://www.download.com/Trend-Micro-Hijack...4-10227353.html

NOTE: Only use ComboFix if you are confident with what you are doing.

Good Luck,
Cornzey.

Hello as listed above this forum in the Blue lettering it is NOT advised to post or use ComboFix on your own. Please refrain from that in the future, thanks.
It is also always better to start your own topic.

I'm running Windows XP SP2, Norton Anti-Virus and also Spybot S+D.

I've fixed most of the problem now getting rid of Trojan.Vundo and Malware.Trace.

But i'm still having problems with Trojan.Fakealert and Adware.VideoEgg

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Cornzey

If you suspect a rootkit, trojan downloader and/or backdoor trojan, it's a good idea to download and install or update all programs then disconnect from the internet and run a proscribed series of scans and cleans
