Hey all! I've read all the guides and followed all posted advice. I had a LOT of problems from something my son downloaded and I THINK I've fixed most of them. I still have some problems tho to work on and need help on.

- I believe something got switched around in the BIOS cuz whenever I start my computer I get a message: Floppy Disk seek failure...Strike F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility.

-After hitting F1, it starts up just fine, except for another screen that briefly shows that says: \systemroot\windows\system32\autochk.exe not found...skipping Autocheck

-Then once I do get on the desktop, my clock shows the 24-hour time instead of the 12. In otherwords, military time and I can't figure out where to change that.

-Last, on the desktop I get the error message: Error Loading C:\windows\system32\lrltnwex.dll

Umm, I believe that's it for now! lol Any help would be appreciated and I can post HijackThis log if wanted. I probably can post ANY log you want seeing how I've run about every scan available out there!!

Thanks in advance-
Christy

Is the system clean now, those errors are easily fixed or changed, if it is?

What have you used to clean the infection?

No HJT, deckards or combo fix logs here please

would do a start>run> CHKDSK /F

when the black box pops up answer Y to schedule a checkdisk at next bootup

I ran that at startup and all my scans are still telling me I'm clear of viruses. So I should be good to go on fixes if anyone can help.

Ok, I did a full scan with MBAM and it found 1 more trojan so I deleted it. I then ran a fast scan and it was gone. When I boot up the Checkdisk notice is gone now though at least.

Keep an eye on system/computer and keep us posted on any developements.

Did you reboot between scans?

Yes, I did reboot between scans. So far, the only things I see different is it boots a little faster and the checkdisk notice is gone on startup and the Error Loading C:\windows\system32\lrltnwex.dll is no longer popping up. I still have the other little problems I want to fix: the 24 hour clock and the message: Floppy Disk seek failure...Strike F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility.

Once I get those fixed I should be good to go I think..I hope!

K, I got my clock changed so I guess I just need to work on the Floppy Disk seek failure...

So, any help with that would be appreciated.
