Hi All
I stumbled across this site after having entered the name of a particularly malicious piece of malware into a search engine, and was directed straight to a topic on this site covering exactly what I was looking for.
Having decided to then explore the rest of the site, I was quickly led to the conclusion that although I considered myself reasonably computer literate, there were things here being discussed that I'd never HEARD of. Wow!! How are the mighty fallen.
So here I rest, having swallowed a large dose of humility, and come to the conclusion that there is so much to be learned, but you guys look like you're going to make learning not only interesting, but fun as well.
Awesome site, people, keep it up. :flowers:

Computing is such a complex human activity that no one can reasonably be expected to know every aspect in detail. One person may, for example, be a whiz at spreadsheets, but not know the first thing about installing RAM. Here at BC, with its broad membership with varying areas of expertise and experience, members help one another and share knowledge.
We are all in a process of learning, so do not feel alone!
Regards and welcome to BC!

Hello everyone!

I'm alan(bp2) and I'm sort of new to computers. I hope I'll be able to participate in the forums. Some of them on other sites were a bit daunting.

Anyway, I'm happy to be here.

We'll be in touch.

alan
