Okay, so there's a lot of bloatware, and this may be a good opportunity to get rid of a lot of it...

But it's not the bloatware which has, this week grabbed a load of processing, restricted access to certain web pages, replaced certain ads on web pages and shuts down every now and then. I've stupidly got a trojan, I think... but don't have enough know how to identify it. And a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Anyone got a clue, because I certainly don't...

who knows what acer security does, I really doubt acer even understands it, they just sub it out

it looks like a conflict with norton's tho as both may duplicate services

would you run a scan and fix with MBAM

assuming you are using xp or vista

No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try.

Thank you so much. It was indeed Trojan Vundo with a few friends. Hopefully it's gone... for now.

I would always suggest that someone post the log, especially for anything related to vundo.
