Got a virus....bugs crawling on screen and appears to be eating windows...
Couldn't find a fix that worked....so reformatted hard drive and now computer is working properly.
Question.....seems as though the virus ate the screen saver tab.....can I replace this tab somehow and why didn't the reformat pick up that one thing?
Help!
Thanks

Look through this:

One caution...Changing registry entries can be devastating...Back up registry before changing anything so if something bad happens you can recover.

If you are using XP Home the group edit deal won't work. It does in XP pro. There is an automated fix listed on this page in case you are not comfortable editing the registry.
