problems with activeX settings

any suggestions for this would be greatly aprreciated

when i go to the ms updates page i get a pop up saying that current settings prohibit activeX controls on this page. This causes th page to load improperly leaving me unable to update my pc. I have tryed changing the activeX settings but with no effect

ne suggestions?

You could also reregister IE's dll's.

But I need to know:
1. What OS do you have (if XP, do you have SP2?)?
2. What version of IE do you have?
