I installed Nokia PC Suit about 6 months ago & all worked OK with blue tooth sending new info to my lap top from the nokia phone. About 2 months ago I suddenly had an error message on start up, so it did not work. I have tried to uninstall from control panel I get error message 1316 & will not remove the installation. If I try to repair it I get the message "the feature you are trying to uses on a network resource that is unavailable" I don't understand as I have not knowingly changed any settings. If I try to install I get the error message windows installer error 1706 & installer cannot continue.
This was really useful when working, so I hope that some wizard out there can help.

What exactly was the error message?

Have you looked in the Device Manager to see if there are any errors showing up?

Start> right click on My Computer> Manage> Device Manager.

You also may want to look into the Event Viewer to see what errors are showing up at the times that this is happening. All errors have a date and time listed.

Start> right click on My Computer> Manage> Event Viewer.

Be sure that you choose System.

The error will appear in the far left column and will appear as a red dot with a white X inside. Each of the columns has a title at the top of them, the column that you want is the Event column. When you see an error follow it to the right across the page to the event column, there will be a set of numbers in there, this is the error code. If you right click on the error code a drop menu will appear, click on Properties, another page will open which will contain a description of the error.

Please post the error codes and descriptions back in this topic.

The most common error message is #7023 service control. The description is. "The attempted operation is not supported for this type of object referenced". This shows every day once or twice but sometimes can show 60+ times in one minute.
Another error is # 14103 PSched. Description is." Driver failed the query for OID_GEN_LINK_SPEED."
