I dont know what happened but the sound was just fine one minute then when i went to watch some tv on it, there was nothing. I also noticed that the speaker icon on the bottom right was no longer there. Suggestions?

Good Morning useakme.

You could try this first. You do not say what your OS is. Mine is ME. This same thing happened to me once. And I went in and checked the box, (Show Volume Control Icon on Taskbar ) I speak of below.

> Start
> Settings
>Control Panel
> Sounds and Multi Media
> Double Click to open
> Look to see if the box - Show Volume Control Icon on Taskbar has been checked

See if this helps.

So ive been having some issues with sound again.. no not the same ones. My pc would get the blue screen of death if i opened certain websites that had sound and/or animations on it. So since ive been screwing around with it and now i have no sound at all. I can't check the box like you spoke of earlier because it is all greyed out. I'm guessing i need to install some drivers and ive tried doing so but nothing has worked so far. Im running windows 2000 btw... what should i do?
