I recently performed a complete re-install of Windows XP Home and updated back to SP2. I am now not able to use Microsoft Update. I get Error number: 0x800A0046. I have looked all over these forums and the internet and have tried everything I can find to no avail. If anyone has any more suggestions I would be most gratefull.

Many Thanks

Sam

Hi,
Try this as It worked for other people.

Download Dial-a-fix from http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix
Unzip the file and double-click Dial-a-fix.exe to start the program.
Press double green checkmark - "Check all"- to turn everything on.
Close all other open windows.
Press "GO" to start processing all checkmarked items.
REBOOT your computer afterwards, important.

regards,
Extremeboy
