I've had to uninstall and reinstall NetMeeting off of WinXP (Home). But I can't access conf.exe to reinstall, don't know why, search wouldn't locate the file.

All websites say there is no download from MS or on the net, you must RE-INSTALL NETMEETING FROM THE WINDOWS XP CD.

I'n not an idiot, but I can't figure out how.

Can anyone please tell me how to find and install this program off my (registered) XP CD!

To reinstall Netmeeting, open the Windows\Inf folder
(this is a hidden folder, so you may need to adjust your Folder Options to show hidden files and folders).

Or

you can click Start | Run and enter %systemroot%\Inf.

Locate the msnetmtg.inf file in the Inf folder.
Right click and select Install.
Have your XP CD handy

Alternatively, you might go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and click on the Windows tab. I don't have an XP computer at the moment, so I can only tell you about how it's done in 98, but I think it's pretty similar.

Have your XP CD in the drive.

In 98, it's under the "Communications" tab.

Or, alternately:

According to a couple of sites on the net, all you have to do is go to

Start -> Run, and type in [i]conf[\i] and the Netmeeting installer will take off.
