Hi everyone!
I have an acer aspire laptop and I very seldom use my touchpad (I have an external mouse) and the thing is that I type a lot, but my touchpad keeps me jumping from one window to the other or doing crazy things because I touch it with my thumbs.
Iīve tryed in the hardware administrator to disable it, but canīt find anything to do it. Instead I find a lot of options to change the configuration of buttons and the way the coursor moves and such like.
Somebody told me to unisntall the touchpad software, but I donīt want to do that just in case I may not have an external mouse and find myself in need of my "crazy" touchpad "friend"
In short words, I want to know if there is an option to activate and deactivate the touchpad....I heard also that some computers donīt have that option...
My OS is windows Vista on a Acer Aspire 5715Z
Good Day!!!

Go to the mouse option in your control panel. You should then see a tab called Device settings.Go there and disable the touchpad.

Not the perfect repair but I taped an expired credit card over the pad ,(on one side so I can access when/if I wanted to.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
