I lost my Windows XP product key and was at my wits end as to re-installing Windows XP. After searching around I found a great product called Insaneware Keyfinder at : http://www.product-key.comand just wanted to share the news in case you might ever find yourself in this predicament. I instantly retrieved my product key for Windows XP Home and my Office 2003.
