I need some help fixing my computer. I read the instructions earlier on how to removing virus/spyware infection using "Smitfraud" but it did not work.

I get this pop up box with a red circle and white X in the tool bar that reads: "Your computer is infected" Windows has detected spyware infection.

Any suggestions? I also used spybot and ad adware to scan the files and it did not work. I also have Norton suite security but it didn't clean either.

It's messing up my computer. The desktop image disappeared. Today, I can't open up any of my files. Yesterday, I couldn't open up windows and I have to use firefox.

Thanx in advance.

I noticed that you have a HJT log posted. Since it is posted, we ask that you do not post about any other problems and not to make any changes to your computer unless directed by a member of the HJT team
