Posted 28 May 2008 - 02:50 PM

I was asked to download something so i could watch a video online. It was saying it was Adobe but obviously wasn't, since when i am on the internet and also looking through my files i keep getting a message saying : System Error! Your system is infected with a dangerous virus! Note : Strongly reccomend to install antispyware program to clean your system and to avoid total crash of your computer! Click OK to download the antispyware (Recommended)" If i click okay it asks me to download a file from ieantiavdownload.com. I have looked through my files and found one that was created on the 26th May 2008 and was i think at the time everything went wrong, however this file cannot be deleted and says it is still in use so i'm wondering if that is the virus? Or just a coincidence and i need to do something else. My computer will also not restore its settings to an earlier date. Thank you
