I have tried the best spyware remover on the market on this machine. PC magazine said sunbelt software's Counterspy was the way to go so we bought it and it didnt even put a dent in the problem. We cant get rid of the slotch bar or the pop-ups. We have tried all solutions and this is the last option please help.

Hi there,

You have several different infections on your system.. So let's deal with it one by one.

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Great!

Now perform the following:

Download FindQoologic.zip save it to your Desktop.
http://forums.net-integration.net/index.ph...=post&id=134981

Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.
Open the FindQoologic folder. Preferable to your desktop.
Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat file to run it.
wait until a text opens, post it in a reply to your thread together with a new hijackthislog!!

I tried to unzip this file and got a message saying "Can not find script file "C:\DOCUME~\LOCALS~1\Temp\Activesetup.vbs". But I still managed to get away with this log so I will post it and another hijack this log just in case it is the one you need.

Hello,

You unzipped the contents of the findqoologic-folder to different places.
In the findqoologic-folder, 4 items must be there together: find-qoologic2.bat,
getstarts.exe, XFIND.com and Activesetup.vbs.
So you have to run find-qoologic2.bat from within that unzipped folder.
Look on your desktop (or where you saved it) and find the unzipped folder find-qoologic. Just drag the 4 items above in that folder and run find-qoologic2.bat again.

Hi there..

I'll need an extra favour.

Search for a file called installer.exe that is in your C:\Windows. (C:\Windows\installer.exe) and ffinst.exe that must be present in your C:\Windows\system32-folder (C:\Windows\system32\ffinst.exe)
If present.. can you submit it here?:
