Hi

When I tried to start a restore point in safe mode I got the following error

I was able to go to Start Run and type it in manually to do the Restore. When I tried this again I got the same error above. So this has happened at some earlier point.

Can this be easily fixed and how...

Regards

Hi

I couldn't find anything in that link referring to " Windows ME " or how to  Disable script blockers? Not even from within " Windows Help " program using keyword search :flowers:

Sorry...here's the MS how-to page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/us...rity/setup.mspx

This setting is probably set to 'disabled'
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe

Having read the link and checked my Security setting through all Zones, the only ones that are blocked are in restricted; the other zones are either enabled or prompt and restore still doesn't work  from the help and support menu. I can still search for and run restore manually.

Remember, this is Windows ME!

Clear out the cache and all temporary Internet explorer files and all cookies.
Run scandisk and defrag

Restore points were introduced with Windows Me.
Why are you tring to restore?
Dont waste your time
In the beginning there was the command line.

Hi...

Remember, this is Windows ME!

But I knew that

Clear out the cache and all temporary Internet explorer files and all cookies.
Run scandisk and defrag

All done... Defrag took :inlove: 8 hours

Why are you tring to restore?

I thought this was obvious, trying to get to a stable point. Well as stable as Bill Gates crap software will allow me :flowers:

Dont waste your time

I have all the time in the world...

None of the above as resolved this error.
