Recording Sound From Dvd

I want to record just the audio from a short section on a DVD. Does anyone know a freebie that can help me do this please?

I found one but the sample rate is stupidly low.
I don't do silly signature things - not since my Karma ran over my Dogma!

It's been a while since I've used it, but I believe Audacity will do that
