xp sp2 problems

I'm having this problem;every-time i restart,reboot or start my computer, my quick launch and other toolbars are gone, Ive run mcafee viruscan (uptodate)
and all the suggestions to get rid of spyware that is posted in the H.J.T. thread.
everything comes back clean, my H.J.T. log was also clean, so i was suggested to come here and post my problem to get help.
please help!!!!

Hi vitico66,

Try turning off your firewall - reboot - and set the options you want for the toolbars and lock the toolbar. Reboot again - then turn your firewall back on.

Another thought is Spybot Search and Destroy. Do you have the Tea Timer option on? TT maybe thinking something is trying to screw with your settings. Try turning that off if it is set. Then turn it back on after your done.

thanks for the advise , i did as you said, didn't have TeaTimer on,so it looks like another mcafee glitch, ive had so many issues w/them that i should look there first every time something weird pops up.; anyway, problem solved, thanks again and Godspeed
