One of my flat mates has had an issue with his laptop, which involves popups constantly popping up while he's trying to view web pages, along with the fact that the internet is going very slow on his computer. (Other network computers have perfect internet access). His Bullguard antivirus flagged up a couple of trojans, namely trojan.clicker and trojan.fakealert, but removing these has not fixed the issue. In fact, it's virtually impossible to access the internet on his laptop at all.
Furthermore, running a PCTools antivirus later gave a rundll32.exe error and said 'the memory could not be "written'. I'm really at my wits end and any help as to next steps would be greatly appreciated.
